Real Power Demonstrates Mobile Level 3 EV Quick Charge Vehicle at Plug In Carolina event

(Dec. 8, 2010) Columbia, South Carolina –  Real Power, a division of Contour Hardening ,Inc. (CHI) of Indianapolis, Indiana, demonstrated the first integrated Mobile Level 3 EV Charging vehicle during the Plug In Carolina Tour. The 3-day promotional tour was officially kicked-off on the morning of December 8th in front of the State House in Columbia, South Carolina by Governor Mark Sanford and traveled to multiple cities including Columbia, Rock Hill, Blythewood, Union and Spartanburg.

The demonstration vehicle features a self-contained, fully-integrated Level 3 DC charger which allows an electric vehicle (EV) to be charged in less than 20 minutes. The Level 3 charger uses Real Power's patented PTO-driven generator system as a power source in order to be able to recharge an electric car.
