About Real Power

Contour Hardening, Inc. (CHI) was established in 1986 with a goal of providing a cost-effective solution to difficult heat treatment applications. Now known the world over for the patented Micropulse Process which provides unparalleled induction heat treating for many companies, CHI has become a leader in automotive technology.

Building on this tradition of technological excellence, in 2003 an engineering development extension of their work with PTO gears, CHI developed the Real Power® line of PTO driven generator systems.

Since its inception and first system in 2004, CHI has installed over 1,000 Real Power generator systems in vehicles ranging from Class 2 pickup trucks to larger Class 8 Heavy Duty trucks. These systems have helped those working in municipal, fire-rescue, construction, healthcare, mining, farming and many other vocations to perform work that was previously not possible, or required expensive, space-consuming alternatives.
